We've put together an Amazon Wishlist for those of you who can't get to town regularly to drop donations at our office or just enjoy online shopping. Here you'll find essential items as well as those little luxuries, there's something for everyone's budget! Anything delivered to us goes straight to our fostered animals.
OFFER A HOME TO AN ANIMAL IN NEED
Our animals are parasite treated, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (where appropriate) as a minimum standard of care. Our adoption fees make sure we're able to help the next animal needing our care.
The adoption fee is generally much lower than the expenditure on each animal whilst in our care and we always massively appreciate any additional donation you're able to make to help us continue with our vital work

Volunteer
Our charity shop in the heart of Whitehaven is looking for friendly volunteers to join our team and help make our shop a huge success. Make new friends, have fun, and help us help more animals!
We have positions available on the shop floor and in our stock room or you could volunteer to do a mixture of both!
Our voluntary roles are subject to an informal interview and trial period. We will ask you to provide contact details for two referees and dependant on the position you may be required to sign an agreement and undergo specific training before starting the role.

You can help us by donating £2 (or more) per month via standing order or online via PayPal. Standing order forms can be retrieved from our office in Whitehaven.

RSPCA Cumbria West is a separately registered charity to the national RSPCA; as a self-funded branch, we do not receive government funding and rely heavily on the kindness and generosity of the public to continue our vital work caring for and rehoming abused, neglected and unwanted animals.
By making a Will, you are ensuring that your money goes where you want it to when you die. Leaving a gift in your Will is a way to help a charity close to your heart. If pets have brought a significant joy to your life, remembering RSPCA Cumbria West is a wonderful way to help less fortunate animals in the community for many years to come.
How to leave a gift in your Will to the RSPCA Cumbria West
If you want to leave a gift in your Will to our branch; to help animals in our local area; it is very important you use the wording below, otherwise your gift will go to the National RSPCA.
To leave a gift in your Will to our branch, please use this exact wording:
I give the sum of ________ (or specify a share of residue) to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Cumbria West Branch (registered charity number 232261) of 13-15 Market Place, Whitehaven, Cumbria, CA28 7JB for its general charitable purposes absolutely and I express the wish (without imposing any trust or binding obligation) that the sum be applied for the use and benefit of animals in this Branch area. I declare that the receipt of the honorary treasurer or other proper officer of the said Branch shall be a full and sufficient discharge of the said legacy.
It is vital that you specify that the gift should be bequeathed to the RSPCA Cumbria West Branch so that our local animals will benefit from your generosity.
